Spring MAPS Testing!

Your child will take the final NWEA MAPS Math and Reading assessment of the year this week!! MAPS stands for Measures of Academic Progress. "When taking a MAP® test, the difficulty of each question is based on how well a student answers all the previous questions. As the student answers correctly, questions become more difficult. If the student answers incorrectly, the questions become easier. In an optimal test, a student answers approximately half the items correctly and half incorrectly. The final score is an estimate of the student’s achievement level."  We will take these assessments Wednesday, February 28th, and Thursday, March 1st. We will be in "MAPS Madness" mode all week, and I know the students will be READY for these important assessments! Since the students have already taken MAPS before, they know just what to expect. With a good night's sleep and a healthy breakfast, I know they will rock these tests!
