A message from CSPN...
Parents - We need your help with Book Fair! It is a
fun week for the kids, and the sale allows us to provide the teachers
with tons of books for their classrooms. Right now we are very
short on volunteers. We cannot make this event possible with
out your help. If you have not already signed up to help please click
on the link below to volunteer.
And a message from Leigh Robinson, Book Fair Chairman...
This year we
will participate in a charitable program called “All for Books”. This involves collecting loose change the
week of Book Fair.
-->
All for Books is
a one-for-one charitable matching program, using loose change collected
throughout the week of Book Fair. The contest will work like this:
- Loose change will be collected from Monday, February 17th through the morning of Friday, February 21st.
- Jugs will be collected and counted on the morning of Friday, February 21st.
- The classroom who collects the most money in the milk jugs will win a pizza party!
Some important facts to
note are:
- All money collected will go to the teacher to shop for books for her/his classroom.
- All money collected goes towards our total sales goal for Book Fair week.
- Scholastic will match the amount we collect by donating books to charities that help children.
So here’s a
recap of the "Whats and Whens":
- Book Fair February 17th – 21st
- All for Books loose change collection Mon, Feb 17th through Thurs, Feb 20th
Thank you in
advance for making the Book Fair a success!
Our Valentine's Day Party was a smash - so much so, that we ran out of time!!! Special thanks go out to Bridgette Flack and Riki Jackson for organizing the party, as well
as
to all of the parents who were able to volunteer for everything.
